"Put the TV down my friend"

ALVESTON, OHIO -- Stingle, an irritating toy poodle of 1302 Marzifax Lane, successfully terrified three armed intruders into leaving after they had robbed the house of one Rolex, two diamond bracelets, and one wallet containing a little over two hundred dollars.

Kyle and Georgiana Preston, residents at 1302 Marzifax, say that they cannot be prouder of Stingle.

"It was my idea to get a toy originally," says Georgiana happily as she duct tapes a large piece of cardboard over one of the broken windows. "Kyle wasn't sure that Stingle would be enough to defend the house against theft, but he's sure changed his tune since she chased those maniacs out of our house!"

When queried, the Prestons maintained that the success of the burglary was minimal, thanks to the incessant and obnoxious yipping of their canine.

"Imagine if Stingle hadn't been here," Kyle says, scratching the squirming wretch behind the ears. "They might have taken our priceless collection of Bread albums."

A hunt for the suspects has naturally been undertaken by the Alveston police force, but no witnesses have been forthcoming. The Prestons, however, have suggested that the annoying little mongrel be brought in to look at mug shots.

"She has such a memory for faces. She's almost human that way," Georgiana explains, hugging Stingle. "I'm sure she'd be able to sniff out those nasty men that she chased so viciously from our castle."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
