Washington AC/DC - (Ass Mess): "It's gonna be bad, bad, bad if the Clintons get their snouts in the trough once again," Federal Reserve chief Ben Bernanke said today.
His comments confirmed the GOP's worst nightmares but secretly rather pleased the Republican inner core of hard-nosed pessimists.
Bernanke said the Bush Administration needs to "take substantive rearguard action" such as pulling off a massive Global Piss Process oil deal with the Iranians.
"My best bet is a public engagement between Condi Rice and President Ahmadinejad, followed by a all-singing and dancing treaty signing ceremony.
"Then put up Condi as the official GOP candidate for the White House and voila! Watch that Hillary Clitoris crumble in the hustings."
To some Mr Bernanke's remarks come as little surprise.
"Expectations around that scenario are HUGE in DC," one commentator remarked.
"Clinton/Obama versus Rice/ Colon Bowell?
"No contest."
