Democratic presidential candidates have begun battling over who has the strongest tax-cutting credentials. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama dueled in the media yesterday with competing proposals to reduce the burden of taxes on Americans.
Obama was the most aggressive at first, adopting the flat tax ideas of Steve Forbes. He also used a controversial analogy, saying that he wanted taxes to be "as flat as that bitch I'm running against."
Clinton's campaign team accused Obama of playing the gender card, but the former First Lady did not talk about that with the press this morning. Instead she advanced an even stronger proposal. Clinton's new tax plan would eliminate corporate income tax as well as dividend taxes. "We've got to energize business because they're the ones who create jobs."
Shortly thereafter, Alice stepped back through the Looking Glass, changed her name to Ayn, and starting writing a book about some guy named Atlas.
