Hip-hop artist Lil' Wayne has been arrested after a concert in Idaho, and charged with being "absolutely talentless", authorities have said.
The 'star', 25, came off stage to howls of derision on Saturday, and was met by police who led him away in handcuffs, screaming like a baby.
Wayne, real name Dwayne Michael Garbage Jnr, has been nominated for seven prizes, including Worst Artist, at the Black Entertainment TV (BET) Hip-Hop Awards next week. It's not yet known whether his arrest will prevent him from attending the ceremony.
His hits include The Gob Is Hot, last year's Go DJ Muthaf*cka, and his recent single, platinum-seller Ride Me, B*tch.
Wayne has been bailed to appear before a court on Tuesday. If found guilty, he could be subjected to intense mockery and taunting from other black artists, who often kill each other.
Police chief Ronnie Commondecency said:
"It's a crime in itself, that an individual such as this can gain notoriety and make money out of destabilising our youth, and undermining the social fabric of our nation, and our way of life. Myself, I prefer Dr Dre."
