West Palm Beach, Florida (IP) - A civic minded serpent slithering past a First National Bank window on South Federal Highway this morning foiled a bank robbery in progress. The serpent was a very long Python that had been let loose by an owner who could no longer take proper care of the beast.

The snake silently slithered into the bank unobserved by the lone gunman who was pointing an SKS rifle at bank employess. The last thing the robber was heard saying was, "what in the hell is so funny, you think this a joke ore someth....? His voice was suddenly cut off as the snake quickly coiled around its prey and swallowed him whole.

By the time the proper authorities arrived the robber was well on his way to being digested. The police officer spoke into his crackling radio, "10-9 that, looks like we have a 10-13 here so code 29 that last order."

Police and bank employees thanked the snake profusely and petted him on the head and rubbed his chin. They like that. The serpent was given a cup of coffee, a donut, and a free toaster and was allowed to freshen himself up in the ladies room and soon the snake was off again on its own. The police officers finished off the rest of the three dozen donuts.

The snake would probably not need another meal for at least a week and the children playing outside in the local neigborhood could feel safe in that knowledge.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
