MONTREAL (Gazette Staff Writer) - In the spirit of Glasnost, the US Secret Service code name for Dick Cheney has been revealed to be "Angler".
This seems to indicate that the Vice President's henchmen leak information about him as easily as they do about his adversaries. Although revealing his code name does seem to contradict the reason for having one in the first place, Mr. Cheney seems only slightly more perturbed than his usual self.
One might think that the name "Angler" is a fishing reference. But the actual etymology reflects the way in which the Vice President is always trying out a new angle to bypass 'a government by and for the people'.
His latest angle includes an attempt to designate the entire contents of his office as Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI).
