In an ironic turn of events US President G. W. Bush has been denied re-entry to the US. This apparent snafu a result of Mr. Bush not having his Passport with him on Air Force 1, nor having any paperwork showing that he has applied for a passport which is waiting processing along with millions of other US citizens.
The announcement earlier this week which had relaxed the requirements for possession of either a passport or the processing letter from the State Department when entering the US from Mexico or Canada, was an attempt to ensure Mr. Bush's reentry to the US by landing first in Mexico City.
However, as Mr. Bush has neither passport nor processing paperwork it appears that he will not be allowed to land anywhere in either country due to reluctance on the respective government parts of having him on their soil without a current immigration policy in force.
