American Airlines is announcing that, this month, its top executives will split close to $200 million in stock bonuses while workers will get nothing. The profit for American Airlines last year was $231 million.

President George Bush, overjoyed at being one of American Airlines' stockholders, named American Airlines "Trickle Down Economics 'Star of the Year.'"

President Bush stated, "This shows the kind of good sense our American corporations need in this time of the global economy. The global competition is tough. Besides, those workers who didn't get nuthin' are just poor people anyway. Not one of them even makes $100,000 a year. They don't count anyway. It's good to see a corporation thinking about the people who really count and can contribute to the Republican elections."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
