On Tuesday, March 27, 2007, Lucky Charms will sponsor the national sugar induced freak out for ADD At three a.m. PST, an estimated 350 people will eat seven bowls of sugar coated Lucky Charms and then freak out from the sugar rush to follow. "I am, like, so pumped, man! I've been, like, practicing, like, wicked hard, man," said Bob "Shagish" McOlsen.
While locals of San Francisco gear up for the event, people around the country are preparing to help as well. Some of the people that want to help but live farther away are eating bowls of cereal and then calling the toll free number to register them. For every bowl eaten, General Mills is going to donate five dollars to finding a cure for ADD.
Many people are protesting this fund-raiser. "God hates leprechauns, and people with ADD. He is against this fund-raiser," one of the protesters told us. The protesters are holding up signs that say "God hates leprechauns", "People with ADD have ADD", and "I hate gays". Most of the public is behind the freak out, though. "I think it's a great idea, and I will eat a bowl of the cereal," a local hobo told us.
