The Ruins Formerly Known as Chicago - The Alien Robots that have been responsible for creating a path of unprecedented destruction by leveling entire cities and their surrounding communities since arriving on Earth last month, have announced today that they will now be starring in a series of Bud Light commercials.

"Exterminating precious life has been fun," explained ASCOR-X319, who alone has been responsible for laying waste to Los Angeles, San Diego and much of the west coast of California, "but me and the other Alien Robots of Death have decided that it was high time we did some pimpin'. Turns out there's not a lot of money to be made liquidating large urban areas and after we got paid for our ad appearances me and the other 'bots did a lot of hard partying with some of our Beer Babe co-stars. Its actually much more of a good time than what we were into before by a longshot."

It remains to be seen if the Alien Robots will be successful in turning around their horrifying image. They have a large uphill battle in trying to glean good feelings and laughter when the very sight of them has here to fore only garnered them terror and screams of panic from the American public.

The ads that have appeared so far have received mixed reviews from industry experts.

"Sure the spots have enormous shock value, and plenty of adolescent slapstick humor," one respected advertising analyst pointed out, "but I'm having a hard time believing that these gimmicks will translate into increased sales for Bud Light. I'm also having a hard time finding my house and several members of my family due to those #%!&* robots."

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
