Washington, D.C. Special to The Spoof. Vapor Manufacturers of America, a trade organization that brings together the major producers of E-cigarettes, today launched a public relations campaign to stop the anti-vaping movement that has led to the banning of flavored E-cigarettes in several cities and states, and a requirement of a minimum age of 21 elsewhere.
"Vaping is protected by the First Amendment to the US Constitution, covered by the Free Speech clause. Vaping is a form of personal expression, just as much as the printed or spoken word. Denying vapors the right to express their inner feelings through vaping is not a power that American states or cities can exert. That might be accepted practice in a dictatorship, but not in a republic. We are filing suit in federal court today to overturn such un-American legislation," the trade group announced today.
