Ralph E. Shaffer, the well-known writer of satire on satirical news website, TheSpoof.com, celebrates his birthday today.
He's 89, and will be for the next 364 days.
Ralph might live in Issaquah, Washington, but then again, he might not. The problem is, that 'Ralph E. Shaffer' seems to be one of the most popular names given to males in the United States, and I wasn't prepared to waste any more than five minutes trying to identify him from my internet search.
Ralph, who writes on a number of different topics, particularly likes political satire, and often attempts the impossible - he tries to make President Donald Trump appear more ridiculous than he really is. He is also a keen basketball fan, and has an interest in history, which is never a bad thing.
Ralph likes listening to obscure music from the 1950s and '60s, but he also belongs to the Beyonce Knowles fan club, and enjoys nothing more than relaxing in his armchair of an evening, and unwinding with a dose of Rammstein or Megadeth.
Shaffer currently sits in 5th position in The Spoof's Top Writers standings.
