Washington D.C. - Not to be outdone by their counterparts in the U.S. House of Representatives, who recently showed up at the Michael Cohen hearing with a poster reading "Liar Liar Pants on Fire", Republican Senators have once again proven that they are intellectually superior to Freshman Representative Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez.
After they called a vote on the Green New Deal proposal, even though it's not their legislation, Republican Senator and spokesman, Mike Lee, then swooped in for the propaganda points by disproving the very concept of global warming, using cool posters depicting great scenes from Star Wars, and citing other great films such as Sharknado.
"It was quite a coup," said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. "I had to make time for the meaningless vote by postponing the discussion on whether the Mueller Report should be released, as well as Healthcare, Budget and North Korea legislation, I felt it was important to spend a day disproving the nonsensical idea of global warming".
Said one MAGA hat-wearing observer at the Capitol afterwards, "This should be the final word on AOC, she is a complete imbecile, and we owned her with those posters and Sharknado analogy."
