Hollywood - CBS Corporation, which recently fired disgraced former CEO Leslie Moonves over allegations from multiple women of sexual harassment, announced a proposed settlement of bonuses and stock options set aside for the former executive one week before Christmas.
Former Showtime CEO David Nevins, who stepped in to replace Moonves earlier this year, told sources that the settlement would follow guidelines established to provide year-end bonuses to lower-ranked employees to reward them for years of hard work and loyalty and seemed an "acceptable alternative" to the 120million-dollar package Moonves sought, given his behavior as chief executive of the company.
"It's the gift that keeps on giving", said Nevins, quoting a line from the classic holiday movie "Christmas Vacation".
