It seems that US airlines are "united" in their policies of dealing with unruly passengers, and in this day and age of smartphones they are being exposed.
A baby and its mum attempted to enter the plane but the pram seemed to be causing quite a delay because the mum could not fold it properly. Due to the fact the plane could miss its take-off slot, and irate steward threatened to open the emergency door and throw the mum and baby off the plane via the safety chute used normally only when planes hit runways without wheels, or something like that.
The baby, screaming of course, then decided to take action itself, and threw its favorite toy, a plush toy version of Winnie the Pooh, at the steward who was also screaming at the mum!
"Enough is enough!" He screamed.
The steward then thrust open the emergency door, because the steps had already been taken away, pressed the button to open the chute, chucked the bulky pram and pushed the mum holding the baby, onto the chute and they all slid down landing quite uncomfortably on the concrete ground!
The American airline has now apologised to the mum and baby, sacked the steward, and the pram, mum and baby were offered a first class ticket on the next flight to Dallas...
A spokesman gave the following statement:
"Due to the introduction of smartphones we have had to change our bullying policies into non-bullying policies? We hope that in the future passengers, hoping to film such incidents, will have their smartphones forcibly removed before boarding so we can continue offering our very best service to unruly passengers by kicking the crap out of them, in private of course!"
