SAN ANTONIO, TX - A former San Antonio teacher accused of directing kindergartners to hit a classmate for being a bully has resulted in new legislation, outlawing bullying of bullies.
Lawmakers cited the incident of a 47-year-old former teacher who told her kindergartners to line up and hit the six-year-old boy so he knows "how it feel to be bullied."
In June, 2012, the teacher, Gae Hooker, directed her students to hit the student, Biff Wellington. Wellington had been accused of bullying Willie B. Hardigan by Hardigan's mother, Amanda B. Hardigan. Ms. Hardigan said that Wellington was making fun of her son's name.
