Colorado - A local radio station will be playing non-stop pot-themed music Sunday to mark the marijuana state's Mothers Day celebrations kicking off with the Bob Dylan classic Everybody Must Get Stoned.
DJ Ricky Reefer plans a topical lineup of favorite pot hits including Fraternity of Man's '69 classic Don't Bogart That Joint, Dash Rip Rock's Let's Go Smoke Smoke Some Pot and Cab Calloway's Reefer Mom.
The station is also sponsoring a number of Mothers Day related activities in the area including a 'smoke as much as you like'-themed Moms Lunch at the downtown Herby Cantina in Sinsemilla Street.
Free massages will be provided for moms booking the day's special menu at Pablo's Cafe, Wine Bar & Pot Shop in neighboring Bong Road where the radio station will be hosting an afternoon of potty karaoke entertainment.
Nearby at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort Spa Hotel the Colorado Springs Pothead Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Al 'Chillum' Robinson, will serenade the ladies at a Mothers Day Sunset Dinner and Smoke-in which, to be broadcast live from 6pm onwards on Marijuana Radio's evening slot.
"It's my kinda Muvvers Day alright," an aide to Colorado Governor John Chickencooper commented.
A one ounce bag of Mothers Poison local weed retails at around five hundred bucks.
