BROOKLYN - Charzanbul Canbar, who works as a Brooklyn cab driver, first came to the United States from Afghanistan in May of 2007.
In that time he managed to work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, and he finally saved enough to buy his own taxi cab.
But a few days ago Brooklyn detectives arrested Mr. Canbar after they searched his cab and found 32 social security cards in the trunk with different numbers and all with his name Charzanbul Canbar.
Canbar immediately stated that he has no idea who would put all of those social security cards in the trunk of his taxi.
Detectives checked each of the 32 social security cards and each one of the cards had Canbar's fingerprints and DNA on them.
SIDENOTE: The Brooklyn Police Department has so far learned that Charzanbul Canbar was receiving food stamps from 24 of the cards. He was then turning around and selling them on the street at a handsome profit.
