ALTOONA, Pennsylvania - Sheriff Drexel Carbonero, 59, has been in law enforcement for over 32 years. And in that time he says he has literally seen it all.
But yesterday afternoon as he was out on patrol he came upon something that he could not believe.
As he rounded the corner down a country road he came upon what he called the biggest snowball he had ever seen. He estimated that the mammoth snowball had to be at least 16 stories tall (over 160 feet).
He called up the local meteorologist who drove out to the location and gasped in amazement as he saw the humongous snowball.
He quickly took out his cell phone and went into the Internet. He learned that the largest snowball on record was 7-feet-4-inches tall.
Sheriff Carbonero called up the local newspaper and had them send out a reporter.
When the reporter arrived she almost fainted. She asked the sheriff what he wanted to name the gigantic snowball for her story.
Sheriff Carbonero paused for a few moments and then replied, "Let's call the big sucker Kirstie Alley."
"Kirstie Alley it is" replied the newspaper reporter.
