ST. MICHAELS, Maryland - Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld recently stated that he has no plans of retiring.
The 81-year-old who served on President George W. Bush's cabinet says that he is the lead guitar player and lead singer for a band named Donnie & The Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Rumsfeld spoke with Chipper Caruso of Cowbell Notes Music Magazine at a Gunfight At The OK Corral Steakhouse in Washington, D.C.
He said that his band is doing very well and they mostly play at private parties for fellow Republicans.
He commented that they also have played at several wedding receptions, bar mitzvahs, golden anniversaries, and three quinceaneras.
Donnie said that the band does covers of songs by Blake Shelton, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, and Carrie Underwood.
SIDENOTE: Rumsfeld told Caruso that he donates half of his share of the earnings to the Governor Chris Christie For President Campaign Fund. He did point out that he still cannot stand that big game hunter wannabe from Alaska, Sarah "Snowballs" Palin.
