Since the SETI Institute's Mothballed the Allen Telescope Array which scans the universe for signs of life in outer space, many were happy that enough donations have come in to finance the Telescopes working.

Among those giving to help bring in more than $200,000 in donations that came from people interested in restoring the listening telescopes were actress Jodie Foster and former astronaut Bill Anders.

"There has got to be more than us with all those earth-like planets around", Foster recently stated. "We need to keep our ears open and not just the eyes of the Hubble Telescope."

However, there are now several other groups using a different method of "Listening". Although we agreed not to mention the group by name, they say that the future of ever hearing beings from other planets is with those people on this earth that have proven telepathy.

"This is not only better but costs very, very little", a representative recently stated.

"We have contacted 25 of the best known although many least known to the world and are hiring them to listen on shifts and to contact us as soon as a message has been heard."

One other thing the new effort has done is that several telepaths have already received "messages" but have not understood but have written them down and are bringing those to the people who are hiring them.

"This is great", one telepath told us. "I get paid for doing what I already do. But it's great that we can now discuss everything together.

What have they heard? They say nothing will be presented until everything is set up and can be approached logically.

"I realized I have just sounded like Mr. Spock but we will have press releases from time to time.

Among other things, they will get as many into listening at any time there have been a spotting of UFO activity, etc.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
