Police in Louisville arrested the wrong person. While this in itself is not a true surprise, it's HOW wrong the police got it. Charlie Mahew was arrested in front of his mother, his brother, and his two children during a family get-together last Thursday, Dec 30, 2013.
This was the second time in a week that Mr Mahew was picked up. He's still mystified about the charge, and why it was not cleared up the first time he was picked up.
Mahew was even more mystified when he found out that the real Charlie Mahew the police sought is black--and he's white.
No word from the local police. Mahew's mother shrugged, muttered "There is a functional illiteracy in this country of about 20 percent. I'm beginning to think they all wear navy blue uniforms and drive grey cruisers."
