Louisville, Kentucky - Everybody loves a Bingo winner. In fact the 1967 song by William Bell provides an excellent musical accompaniment to this story if there are those looking for a multimedia experience, according to the Louisville Journal.
Last week on Thursday night the Silver Heights Hall in Louisville, everything was calm except for an occasional BINGO! by a winner.
Suddenly, from out of nowhere, Louisvillian Deharra Waters began interrupting the calm as players immediately forgot their game and looked up to see a naked man running through the game tables while yelling "Bingo! Bingo!"
Police were called and arrested Waters, charging him with disorderly conduct, alcohol intoxication and interrupting a serious Bingo game where the proceeds go to charity.
Oddly enough, after the police left with Waters in handcuffs, the Bingo players stopped long enough to sing "There was a runner who had a dong and BINGO was his name-O." several times to laughter.
Then the serious Bingo Game continued.
Several stopped by this reporter to tell him, "How in the world am I going to sleep tonight with that song stuck in my head?"
