DENVER - Denver Police Officer Burton Onionwood [Badge #90903] said that he has been a member of the DPD for 27 years and he has never seen a happier bunch of people as those he saw today waiting in line outside pot stores.
Effective at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, marijuana could legally be purchased in thousands of pot stores located throughout the Rocky Mountain State.
Officer Onionwood said that one store in Denver named The Higher Than A Friggin Kite Marijuana Store had a line outside its front door that stretched for 1.3 miles.
People were standing in line singing, joking, giggling, eating, smoking, giggling, drinking, kissing, and giggling.
One University of Colorado student who said his name was Hans Solo said that he had come to the marijuana store to buy himself lots and lots of happiness.
Many customers were seen exiting the store and doing cart wheels, somersaults, and one 19-year-old girl even did the splits while wearing only a Denver Broncos halter top and Nike tennis shoes.
Overall it was a very, very, very happy day in the Mile High City of Denver as well as in every city and town in the great Rocky Mountain High state of Colorado.
