SYRACUSE, New York - The upstate New York city of Syracuse, which is the birthplace of FOX News reporter Megyn Kelly, has decided that due to Kelly's way out-of-line comments about the color of Santa Claus' skin it will be forced to take some action.
A city council member Zoe Penderplatt, 51, stated that back in July of 2011, the town had erected a 15-foot tall statue in honor of home town girl Megyn Kelly.
The statue became a popular tourist attraction with about 90 people visiting it on a weekly basis.
But since Kelly's racist remarks the city will be removing the statue and putting it into storage.
Mrs. Penderplatt, who is in the process of getting divorced, commented that just since Megyn's unfortunate comments the statue has become covered with graffiti, much of it quite vulgar in nature.
SIDENOTE: City Councilwoman Zoe Penderplatt stated that the city will be replacing Megyn Kelly's statue with one of Santa Claus.
