Staff at Graceland today were shocked when the US army revealed that a DNA sample taken from a visitor to an Army Base in Germany matched that of the King.
Elvira Muntz from Berlin who works part time as a waitress was hired as part of a staff for the traditional Thanksgiving Day meal. Along with the rest of the staff from the catering company she had to have her DNA taken and compared with a database. This is to stop known terrorists sneaking in. Shockingly the 34 year olds DNA matched a sample belonging to Elvis Presley.
"It was odd. I thought maybe I was related to him. My mother thought that she was a virgin until she was told she was pregnant. She assumed that she had been drugged at a summer party in '77 and I was born the following May. If you trace back my birth nine months exactly you get Elvis' date of death."
"The sample of Elvis DNA was taken from a blood test." Dr Albert McLennon said "Blood was taken from soldiers and we digitized the DNA because of a rash of women suing the Army for paternity due to a law change in the 80's. Miss Muntz' DNA is 100% the same as Elvis' both have an odd genetic condition that means their DNA is genderless. Elvis was a man Elvira is a woman but the DNA does not reflect that."
"I guess there are some things we share" Miss Muntz said "As well as waitressing I also perform in a Burlesque revue and my best routine I start off in a leather jump suit just like the one Elvis wore in the comeback special."
Members of the Presley family are skeptical however saying that there might have been a mix up in the lab. Meanwhile Elvis über fan Nicholas Cage has proposed to Miss Muntz.
