BILLINGSGATE POST - When Clint Eastwood sneeringly asked the empty chair, the stark personification of President Barack Obama, "To make Mayan day," Eastwood of course, was referring to December 21, 2012, the day which doomsdayers fear the Obamalypse will arrive.
According to the ancient Mayan "Long Count" calendar, this year's winter soltice marks the end of a 144,000 day cycle. This cycle, which begins at the mythical Maya creation date, has already been repeated 12 times. By Divine intervention, or to some, by sheer coincidence, the 13th will end upon the presumed re-election of Barack Hussein Obama.
This date has long been shrouded in mystery. Many conservatives, who link Obama's destructive reign to this apocalyptic event, fear that anything from a rogue planet smashing into us to our econony spinning out of control, could occur if Obama defeats Mitt Romney in the November election.
