MOSCOW - Russian President Vladimir Putin has made it clear that he's no fan of Barack Obama because he's Amerian as well as Mitt Romney who not only is American but basically attacked the Soviet Union, as Romney calls it, in a speech last year.
So it's without showing support for either candidate that Putin made it clear that Clint Eastwood would be singing like a bird in a cage if he had pulled the same stunt in Russia as he did at the GOP convention.
"It's not my country so I really have little to say," said President Putin outside the Kremlin. "I'll just say that the film Escape from Alcatraz wouldn't be the only opportunity we'd have to see this so-called entertainer behind bars."
Asked what kind of sentence the punk rock group Pussy Riot would've received if they'd rambled on for 720 seconds instead of the 40 seconds that led to a two-year prison sentence, he replied, "Shot on sight, most likely, although I would've pled for leniency."
