That's our Joe!

Legendary guitar hero, Joe Walsh, has apologised for confusing 'dumbass' voters in Illinois.

The former James Gang and Eagles axe wielder caused much scratching of heads when he endorsed Democrat candidate for Congress, Tammy Duckworth.

Simple-minded Illinoisians were confused because the Republican Representative Ms Duckworth is seeking to unseat in the state's Eighth Congressional District is... Joe Walsh!

Walsh - the guitarist - played on the Eagles' iconic Hotel California album and enjoyed solo success with hits such as Life's Been Good and Rocky Mountain Way. Walsh - the Tea Party-supported politician - didn't.

"Mr Walsh is horrified by the idea that anyone is considering voting for Congressman Walsh in the mistaken impression that it's him," said a spokesman for the Union of American Guitar Heroes.

"He would like to apologise for any confusion and completely endorses Ms Duckworth's bid to become a Representative for the great state of Illinois.

"But anyone who thought Joe could possibly be a Republican has to be some kind of dumbass! Do they not listen?"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
