AUSTIN, Tx. - Rick Perry, who has recently released a slew of 30-second spots promoting his stance on several points, continues to anger Democrats, this time by attacking the child-friendly Muppets.
Entitled, "Those Rat-Bastard Heathen Communist Muppets," Perry cites several examples from the Muppets' recent release that point to liberal messages.
In the opening shot, Perry says, "I'm not ashamed to admit that I hate the Muppets, but even a childlike mind has to be disgusted by the animosity shown by the Muppets toward Big Oil in their latest excuse for a flick."
In the movie, an oil tycoon aptly named Tex tries to shut down the Muppets' theater in order to drill on the theater's site.
Perry continues to downplay Big Oil's disastrous effects in economically unstable countries such as Nigeria and Venezuela.
"Sure, the Muppets would like you to think that everyone aside from these nations' elite is actually further impoverished because of environmental degradation from oil production and the lack of any regulations on American companies. Sure, they want us to believe that these poor people are more vulnerable to food shortages, loss of land, pollution, health issues, unemployment and forced migration.
"Kermit may say that it's not easy being green. But I think Americans know that it's not easy listening to that liberal bull puckey."
