London, England. Monday. Police have finally developed a feasible plan to control or even cease the level of rioting and looting happening in the city streets today. Over the course of the last 48 hours, Metropolitan Police have devised a number of operations to stop the lawless behaviour of street gangs.
Their initial plan was to threaten not to arrest rioters if they continued to slash and burn their way across city streets. When this didn't work, they developed another plan, called the Other Plan, in which officers threatened to arrest rioters if they didn't indulge in riotous behaviour.
When a lowly junior constable pointed out a major flaw in that plan, Police then came up with another plan, called the Other Other Plan, in which they threatened to arrest rioters if they continued to burn public property. This, for the Metropolitan Police, was a turning point.
Police spokesmen are currently falling over themselves to deliver the good news.
