London, UK: After several days of rioting across London that have seen police cars burning on the streets of Tottenham and shop windows smashed in Brixton, the violence has spread to the more leafy and sedate boroughs of Richmond and Hampstead.
Eyewitness Jemima Tumbleton-Smythe describes the scene as flames rose in Hampstead. "Youths in Cashmere hooded tops were in the street setting light to incense sticks and scented candles, yah? It was a terrifying experience to see familiar streets fill with smoke and the unmistakable smell of patchouli."
Meanwhile the West London borough of Richmond was also subjected to mindless violence as items of crockery were wantonly smashed in Great Nokos, a popular Greek taverna.
Former Minister of Immigration and local resident Lord Westerhulme told us "I can understand this sort of thing happening in ethnic parts of London, but in Richmond? Why its just not cricket!"
