Get caught swearing in Barnsley from next month and you could face a fine of £80.
People will be asked to report anyone causing offence or intimidation by the use of bad language.
The fines process follows discussions between South Yorkshire Police and community organisations and is part of a series of monthly campaigns tackling different types of anti-social behaviour.
A spokesman for The People's Republic Of South Yorkshire Anti-Swearing Department said: "Y'see t'f****n' trouble wi' c***ts these days is that f****n' swearin' seems to be a natural f****n' part o't'everyday f*****' language.
"People drop f**ks and c**ts into their sentences as adjectives and nouns almost wi'out f****n' thinkin'. So, any c**t caught f****n' effin' n' blindin' in f****n' Barsnley town centre from next month's gonna get a c**t of a f****n' fine."
