There was controversy in a town centre this evening when shoppers in Manchester's Arndale Centre were treated to a sight not often seen in the complex - a gay man sucking another man's penis!
Police were called to the first floor of the Arndale at around 4.30pm when a shop assistant alerted them to the fact that two men were indulging in the rather lewd act in full view of shoppers in front of the M&S store.
Constables from Greater Manchester Police themselves hurried to see the act being performed, as there are reputed to be many gay officers within the ranks of the GMP, and much excitement was afoot.
Larry Sabu, 20, and Andrew Werthers, 23, both from Manchester, were arrested and taken to a local pigsty, and later charged with offences related to 'cocks being in mouths in a public place'.
One policeman, who wouldn't confirm whether or not he was gay, said:
"The Arndale has been suffering from declining customer numbers since the Trafford Centre opened in 1998, but some people feel that this is not the way to attract new patrons. Personally, I saw no harm in it, and the one called Larry had a lovely pair of big, hairy balls!"
