Ace axeman Slash has intervened to smooth troubled waters in a Royal spat.
The Velvet Revolver riffmeister was apparently mooching around last weekend when he heard raised voices at Clarence House.
A friend of his told us: "He was just chilling out, wandering around, when he heard the sound of bickering at Clarence House.
"He says he heard someone say: 'Who's Uncle Eddie and does he really have to come too? How many relations are there?'
"He peered through a window and saw Prince William and Kate Middleton poring over lists and plans - and they seemed to bickering.
"So he knocked on the window and asked what was wrong. Kate, apparently, was a bit of a fan of Slash's old band Guns N' Roses so they asked him in for a cup of tea.
"They told him they were just arguing about guest lists and who should sit where at their wedding - it was nothing, they said.
"Well he told them to chill and, as he just happened to have his Gibson and a small amp with him, he played the lead break from November Rain - it was November and it was raining outside.
"They seemed to like it very much and he left them smiling.
"That's Slash for you - what a guy!"
