The contest to take over the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 Games is between local side West Ham United and North Londoners Tottenham Hotspur.
Avram Grant announced that he expects West Ham to have an easy win as the Hammer's supporters all live in the area or nearby.
Van de Fart, a Spurs player, with the wind in his sails made a pathetic argument to justify the Spurs bid. 'We are so much better than West Ham. They are doomed for the lower divisions.'
Leyton Orient are supporting the Spurs bid because they fear that the Olympic ground is too close to them. But there is no reason why they couldn't move into the current Upton Park stadium after 2012, if they are a league club then.
Trevor Brooking, the wisest man in the football world and one of West Ham's greatest stars, considered that the Spurs bid was an insult. 'They are a North London team. Spurs and Arsenal are linked by years of friendly rivalry. Anyway we beat Spurs this year, our only win in the League. It is they who are doomed, not us.'
So common sense is likely to prevail and the Hammers will obviously be walking out on the Olympic grass whilst Spurs are looking for a horse to maltreat.
