Labour's desperate attempts to demonstrate that they will be tough on crime, if the electorate give them another chance after 13 years of disaster, moved a step closer.
Labour party spokeswoman said,"We wanted to improve the efficiency of the Police and decided to scrap most of the paperwork by bar-coding criminals."
"Each convicted criminal will be tattooed with a bar code and when they are arrested again, the Police can simply use a scanner and automatically complete all the paperwork. Then the Police can be out on the street doing whatever it is that they do, whilst the prisoner is still on their way to the police station."
"Since most criminals repeat their offence and since we have given up on preventing reoffending, this is a simple and cost-effective way of streamlining the process and keeping the Police on the street where the public expects them to be."
We look forward to MP's being bar-coded ahead of the next expenses scam after the election.
