that was Susan Boyle in a taxi, right?

In the past few days, commercial flights over Northern Europe have been cancelled almost everywhere because of the threat to safety caused by volcanic ash blown by the north winds from Iceland.

Travellers have got used to being stuck at airports resigned to a long wait. However, a story emerges, of a very enterprising Scottish lady, famous everywhere, and not at all as backward as some claim.

Following another faultless performance and finding herself stuck in Norway, Susan Boyle, knew who to call. Yes, her wonderful fans online, most of whom would give anything to chauffeur their idol. Within minutes of asking, Susan had offers of a ride, the only problem was, it was from Oslo to Brussels. It was not a problem, to drive Miss Boyle a distance of 930 miles, it was an honour.

The lucky fan had Miss Boyle's attention for many hours, received numerous signed CD's and even had Miss Boyle join her on MSN chatting to some very shocked fans around the world.

A dream come true you say. A spoof too far, perhaps.

Miss Boyles favourite TV comic, Basil Fawlty aka John Cleese, is reported to have paid £3000 for a taxi to make this trip when his flight was cancelled because of the ash.

Truth is often stranger than fiction. As we would expect Miss Boyle would only reply, "I am from Barcelona,I know nossin'"

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
