Gay rights activists have criticised a Vatican official who sought to link homosexuality to paedophilia when commenting on child sex abuse scandals.
Camp campaigners, Stonewall, announced that thousands of homosexuals were descending on the Vatican to stage a mass 'Mince-past' in protest at the claims. A spokesman for the pro-poop group said,
"It will be quite a spectacle to see so many queers' lycra-clad buttocks mincing in perfect unison. I think this will send out a very strong message to the Catholic Church and others that this sort of rabble-rousing rhetoric will not be tolerated. We might take it up the chuff, but we don't interfere with children...often."
We tried to contact the Pope's press office, but they were stuck in a closet.
