This morning, Lulu, a six-month-old Tasmanian Devil, chomped on the Queen's shoe and didn't let go.
Zookeepers assisted Her Royal Highness by removing the shoe from the Queen, but not the shoe from the devil.
Lulu proceeded to devour the entire shoe as the Queen was sped to safety.
When asked about the incident the Queen was in good humor and stated, "If I visit Lulu again it will after her breakfast".
Lulu is on loan from the Tasmania Zoo in Launceston, Tasmania as part of the effort to save the threatened species from the Devil Facial Tumour Disease that has devastated the wild population.
Lulu has been enrolled in the class 'Mind Your Manners' and will receive extra tutoring 'Respect for Royalty".
