Hampshire Police this evening confirmed that a kidnapping incident in the county was definitely an inside job. DCI Barry Plunger issued a statement confirming that a 999 call had been received from the abductor demanding a ransom of £1 million from the government.
The abductee, codenamed 'Skoob' for security purposes was reported as having been "not really kidnapped at all, just watching a movie on TV and waiting for a takeaway to arrive"
The kidnapper, identified by police by the codename 'Mrs Skoob' is reportedly the kidnap 'victim's' wife.
Armed response units have surrounded a Hampshire address, and one PC confided in us that the Skoobs were just trying to pull a fast one and screw some money out of the government.
