Feminist Pressure Groups and Germaine Greer yesterday came out in support of Eleanor Gobbard, the petite blonde lesbian jazz trumpet teacher, imprisoned for abusing her position of trust by seducing a 15 year old student.
"This is ridiculous," said a chunky woman. "All the woman did was fall in love. Is that a crime? We can't help who we fall in love with! The woman's only 26 years old and she fell for somebody ten years her junior. No way she should have been jailed for that! We see elderly men with young dolly bird bimbo types all the time! In that case, he's 'just being one of the lads'! This woman is being pilloried simply because she's a lesbian."
"What a load of old bollocks!" an elderly bystander, wearing a flat cap and tucking in to a Gangster's Jersey pastie, said in a gruff north of England accent. "The jazz trumpet teacher abused a position of trust and took advantage of an immature minor. If that had been a bloke accused of same, you'd have screamed for the death penalty. Bloody hypocrites! Grow yer hair a bit, get yer bra out of the fire, put it on, and make me some bloody tea."
