The petite blonde jazz trumpet teacher with lesbian tendencies who seduced a pupil - or maybe it was the other way around, who knows how these things can get out of hand? - was sentenced to fifteen months imprisonment the day before yesterday, in a story which does not appear to have been picked up by enterprising reporters from satirical website, theSpoof.com
The teacher, Eleanor Gobbard was accused of deceiving her lover's parents by arranging sleepovers and a trip to a Paris hotel so that the couple could continue with their illicit liaisons.
As Miss Gobbard sat sobbing in the dock, the judge ruled that there would be no restraining order imposed on the accused as her victim would be of consenting age upon the jazz trumpet teacher's release from prison.
The victim's parents were not amused by this aspect of the judge's ruling, claiming that the relationship had denied their daughter the opportunity to 'develop naturally.'
Gay and lesbian groups were infuriated by the verdict, the prison sentence, the counter claims made by the family, and the fact that Miss Gobbard bore no resemblance whatsoever to a bulldog chewing a wasp.
The furore continues.
More as we get it.
