Stoke (Potteries Relegation Battle) It has been announced that Peter Andre is to sing at a private dinner in honour of Mohammad Ali. The dinner will take place at Stoke City football club. It is the biggest challenge ever for Ali. In his prime the greatest would have danced around the ring-at least until Andre started singing-and would have knocked out the pint sized ponce.
Sadly Ali is no longer so nimble and will have to take more punishment than when he fought Larry Holmes. Boxing promoter Mickey Duff said "It's such a mismatch, even I wouldn't have promoted this one!"
Andre is no stranger to contact sports. He recently went a few rounds with Katie Price, but finished up on the ropes. Price was able to hit him repeatedly with both arms behind her back.
Stoke City are hoping that the dinner proves to be a success, unlike Andre's pop career. The club were once contenders, but now spend much of the time being counted out by the referee. Manager Tony Pullis is monitoring Ali's fitness with a view to signing him for the rest of the season. "Yes he shakes and has never played football, but I like his dribbling and he's quicker than most of my first team squad."
Ali is on a short UK tour. Andre is on anti depressants.
