Gordon Brown's authority in the House of Commons is hanging by a thread today following the defeat of his proposal to blast Ghurkha war veterans into space.
The highly controversial plan saw Nick Clegg and David Cameron join forces in order to defeat the dastardly Brown's sinister plan to launch war heroes into outer orbit, simply to avoid the shame of trying to deport them from Ghurkha-on-Sea, their residence in the UK.
The specifics as to why Gordon Brown detests the soldiers is unclear however in a statement the PM suggested that his intentions were honourable.
"All that has happened here today is that I have been robbed of a chance to turn these elderly men into heroes of Space as well as War. Ghurkha space travel is something no other country has done, and this was a chance for Britain to lead the way".
