Following the announcement by Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling, that UK debt levels would need to see increased borrowing levels up to £170 Billion in 2010, Scotland has been sold to China.
In a desperate attempt to raise funds, the entire nation of Scots has been sold to the superpower.
It is believed that the Chinese has no immediate plans to make any significant changes to its latest possession however given the Chinese obsession with the sport of golf it is likely that they may turn the entire country into an assortment of golf courses.
A spokesman for the SNP (Scottish National Party) said "we are furious that the UK Government has done this, however we would like to take this opportunity to thank our new owners and we assure the mighty Chinese nation that we will be hard workers."
