Religious Fanatics In Luton

Religious extremists took to the streets in Luton to protest. Both male and female protesters were present. The male protesters were dressed in black with white dog collars. The female protesters were covered from head to foot in what appeared to be a penguin costume.

Local residents looked on bemused as the protesters shouted slogans like "Jesus Loves You", "Peace Be With You" and "Father Forgive Them". Such sentiments are alien to Luton, where racial disharmony and the threat of violence are not normally challenged. At one stage the army was called in to restore the status quo. Their presence saw a return to the Luton we have all come to love.

The organiser of the demonstration, Sister Assumpta MacMurphy said "Luton is not the dark, threatening, boiling pot that the media have suggested. At least not yet. We want to show that there are many different sides to Luton".

Mohammad Al Quaeda, a resident of Luton said that he had felt threatened by the demonstrators. "I was on my way to shout abuse at some soldiers and call for the overthrow of British society when I was confronted by these religious fanatics. The government needs to do something about this".

Luton was once voted the most crap town in Britain. Now it is the inhabitants who are heading for a similar award.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
