Much loved television star and cereal salesman Anthony 'the tiger' has been found dead in the North London flat he had called home since his arrival at the door of stardom some 20 years earlier.
It was after a night out with fellow salesman Coco and Churchill that 'Tony' had complained of feeling unwell and headed home early.
The discovery of his body this morning completing the meteoric fall from grace of one of Britain's best loved cereal selling animals who at his peak drunkenly boasted to a shocked school assembly 'I could have any piece of meat I like.....any piece!!'
He was last seen by the public being hauled away by police, his fur matted with the blood of a passer-by who had asked first for his autograph and then for him to utter his now infamous catchphrase 'they're greeeeat'
Everyone here at the newsroom sends his family in Bengal our best wishes and deepest sympathies.
Anthony 'The tiger' was 43
