A seemingly innocent question from one stranger to another signalled the peak of the relationship between 26 year old Amy Gouder and her would be pursuer.
He posed the question whilst both were waiting to place orders at the bar of the yellow leopard nightclub in central London yesterday.
The man is believed to be 29 year old IT technician James Balda who friends this morning described as 'desperate, pathetic and pathetic'
James took Amy's polite smile as an indication to continue, following up with "only I haven't seen you here before" and "can I get you a drink" before an unknown, larger man cut in front of James rendering his line of enquiry fruitless.
