In a cruel attempt to cash in on the spiralling decline of Amy Winehouse, the aged writers of the cult spoof documentary, "Spinal Tap" are set to make a mockumentary based on Winehouse's short and erratic life.

The production team confirmed that Ab-fab star Joanna Lumley, in a reprise of her "Patsy" character will play Winehouse. "She is a natural for the part" gushed Sid Tripp, casting director, "Patsy could BE Amy, they look about the same age and share wigmakers".

Other major roles have been offered to Sir Michael Winner to play Mitchell, her taxi driving father, Janet Street-Porter as her mother Janis, and in a major coup, Boy George as husband Blake Fielder-Civil. Whispered Tripp conspiritorially "George has a feeling for the music, and he could easily achieve the required "heroin chic" look, if you know what I mean"

When contacted by our reporter Beth Baggins, a relaxed Amy said, "I know all about it, it's all a bit of a laugh really, My dad and Michael are old taxi-driving mates, and Janet and my Mum used to do Meals on Wheels for the old folk together".

Amy also let slip that she is slated to appear in a "Christmas Special" of Ab-Fab as Patsy's long lost daughter who Patsy misplaced and forgot whilst spending time at a kibbutz.

Following Boy George's non-availability due to being a guest of H.M The Queen, Fielder-civil has been signed to play himself in the upcoming production, he is understood to have "always had a bit of a thing for Joanna Lumley"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
